DataQwest announces Visual Access XP Availablity

Visual Access expected to attract novice MS Access Users

New York — November 12, 2001 — DataQwest, Ltd. has officially announced immediate availability of the Visual Access XP, empowering non-technical managers with robust ad-hoc data analysis and reporting capabilities. Mastering Microsoft Access is no longer necessary for complex querying and reporting from multi-user RDBMS systems. With a very basic understanding of entities and relationships, users can access any ODBC data source safely and…yes….Visually!

Easy access….to Access

Visual Access is merely a front-end to Microsoft’s best-selling desktop database management system. No longer do casual Access users have to read through hundreds of pages of technical documentation merely to manipulate Access and generate reports. With a basic understanding of tables, fields and relationships, users can leverage the power and flexibility of Visual Access to generate impressive results in record time.

Ad-Hoc Reporting

Coupling the power of the Microsoft Jet Database Engine and the Microsoft Access Report Wizard, Visual Access makes ad-hoc query, reporting and analysis simple, quick and a fully visual experience. Flat queries, cross-tablular queries, graphing, and OLAP are just a few of the available features. Additionally, Visual Access interacts seamlessly with Microsoft Excel, creating pivot tables with just a few mouse clicks.

XML Reporting

At the time of this writing, Visual Access is the only commercially available Access-based query and reporting utility. Element-centric XML imports with relative ease and is loaded into an Access table defined by the source data’s elements and attributes. Attribute-centric XML is fully supported in a similar fashion, relying on the power and flexibility of ADO to read and interpret the data structure.
